Display apartment ignites imaginations
A brand new apartment is a blank canvas.
This is where your imagination can create the decor and lifestyle that you’ve been dreaming of. But sometimes, if the apartment features a very unique floor plan, it’s helpful to have some guidance about placing items like couches, beds and a dining table in the environment.
This was very much the case with 2-bedroomapartment, 1717. An apartment with the same configuration has been used as a sales office, and welcomed literally hundreds of visitors, but despite this, prospective purchasers failed to understand the exciting potential of the apartment’s unusual design.
Interior designer Stewart Harris was tasked with bringing the apartment to life. Stuart had previously orchestrated the interior design of Stamford’s palatial Penthouse on the 23rd floor, and is well-versed with the possibilities that spacious floor plans and generous stud heights provide. The resulting design made full use of the apartment’s deep loggia, spilling gentle light through opaque curtains and palm fronds to create a subtle separation between the master bedroom and the lounge.
The apartment was showcased in a press advert for the first time in July and subsequently sold to a delighted buyer the following month. Proof once again that these residences really do deserve careful consideration.
